NEW DELHI: The Centre on Wednesday approved a 4% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for central government employees.With this decision, the DA for central government employees will increase to 46% from the existing 42%. The DA hike will be implemented from 1, July 2023, the Centre said.The decision will benefit over 48.67 lakh central government employees and 67.95 lakh pensioners.
