NEW DELHI: Even as controversy erupts over Apple’s ‘alert’ to certain iPhone users over potential hacks from “state-sponsored attackers”, it now comes to light that India’s cyber watchdog CERT-In had on October 27 also warned the company’s users of “multiple vulnerabilities” that could allow attackers to access sensitive information, execute arbitrary code, and bypass security restrictions.CERT-In, which issues regular warnings over potential weaknesses in operating systems and other procedures of devices and software, said that the affected software related to Apple’s iOS 15.8, 16.7.2 and 17.1 operating systems.There...
