Israel gears up to send aid to earthquake-hit Morocco

TEL AVIV: Israel is preparing to send search and rescue personnel and humanitarian aid to Morocco after an earthquake killed more than 1,000 in the North African country on Friday. The earthquake's epicentre was in the Atlas Mountains southwest of Marrakech and measured 6.8 on the Richter scale. More than 1,000 have been injured, according to Morocco's Interior Ministry.
