Jawan box office collection day 2: Shah Rukh Khan’s film witnesses 30 per cent drop, to earn Rs 45 crore on Friday | Hindi Movie News

Shah Rukh Khan’s Thursday release Jawan has witnessed a massive start at the box office. The Atlee directorial earned Rs 129.6 crore worldwide and Rs 75 crore in India on day 1, making it the biggest opening day in the history of Hindi cinema both globally and in the country. And the movie has continued its thunderous run on day 2 as well.
Though Jawan has witnessed a 30 per cent drop in its collection compared to its opening day, it has still managed to rake in around Rs 45 crore nett on Friday, taking its two day total to 110 crore.

Despite the drop in collection, Jawan will be eyeing to recover its pace over the opening weekend. The three day total of SRK‘s previous film Pathaan had recorded a collection of Rs 160 crore. And Jawan will easily beat Pathaan by minting at least Rs 50 crore on Saturday, according to Box Office India.

If the film manages to hold its momentum over the weekend, Jawan will be looking to close its opening weekend with a collection of Rs 235-240 crore nett.

On the first day, the film has minted over Rs 65 crore at the Indian box office for Hindi version alone. With this the SRK starrer has become the biggest Hindi opener film of all time. Earlier, Pathaan minted Rs 55 crore on its opening day.
The pan-India thriller, which released in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, also features

Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi as well as Deepika Padukone in a special appearance, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Girija Oak, Sanjeeta Bhattacharya, Lehar Khan, and Aaliyah Qureshi, who are part of the group of women supporting SRK’s hero.
