Bruised and battered! See what Arshdeep Singh did to Nicholas Pooran | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: West Indies on Sunday defeated India by eight wickets in the fifth and final T20I to win the series 3-2 at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground at Lauderhill in Florida.

Romario Shepherd, who claimed four wickets, earned the Man of the Match award, while the swashbuckling batsman Nicolas Pooran bagged the Player of the Series award.

Following the series victory, Pooran took to X (formerly known as Twitter), where he shared an image displaying the visible bruises on his abdomen.

Pooran endured a blow to his abdomen from a delivery by Arshdeep Singh and then got struck on the forearm by a forceful shot played by Brandon King.

West Indies, who haven’t qualified for this year’s ODI World Cup, had lost the Test series and then the ODI series.

Team India’s next assignment will be the three-match T02I series agaisnt Ireland.

The three-match T20I series will start on August 18 at Malahide, Dublin, with the following matches on August 20 and August 23 at the same venue.
