In a strategic move designed to foster entrepreneurship among former military personnel, the Texas Association of Business Brokers (TABB) has announced a formal collaboration with Owners in Honor (OIH)—a U.S.-based nonprofit organization that supports veterans transitioning into business ownership. This new initiative aims to bridge the gap between military service and small business ownership by offering veterans access to experienced brokers, advisory support, and a clear roadmap to acquiring and managing businesses across Texas.
This unique partnership is more than just a handshake between two like-minded organizations—it’s a mission-driven alliance to shape the future of veteran entrepreneurship. As part of the agreement, participating members of TABB have pledged to offer pro bono support to veterans enrolled in the OIH program. This includes assisting in identifying viable businesses for acquisition, conducting due diligence, analyzing investment feasibility, and navigating the complexities of business transfers—all at no cost to the veteran.

With thousands of service members exiting the military each year, many seek meaningful second careers that offer autonomy, growth, and the chance to build something of their own.
