Zomato CEO brings down his bad cholesterol from 165 to 55; shares details of his journey

When Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal announced on social media that he has lost 15 kilos in 4 years, social media could not remain calm. The CEO of the food delivery company took to social media, Instagram, to share his fitness highlights and it has amazed all.

“A glance into my personal fitness journey –
In 2019, a few months before the pandemic, I started treating my health as an equal priority to my work.

Nothing extreme but just maintained consistency.
Highlight of 2019 vs 2023 results,” he has captioned his images on Instagram along with his fitness details.
Goyal has managed to bring down his body fat from 28% to 11.5%. He weighed 87 kgs in 2019 which he has reduced to 72 kgs.

LDL cholesterol, which is nicknamed as bad cholesterol is harmful to health and is flagged as a potential marker for several fatal health complications. In 2019 Goyal’s LDL was 165 mg/dL, which is currently 55 mg/dL. Likewise, triglycerides, a determining factor for heart ailment, is also down from 185 mg/dL to 86 mg/dL.

Goyal’s HBa1C, a blood sugar measurement parameter, is also impressively down from 6.2 to 4.8.

“Feels like India is ordering frm zomato and you eating home!,” writes one user, “Would love to see the journey in a bit more detail. Like if you are ordering out typically what kind of food do you choose. Feels great to see you achieve this. Hopefully we can learn from this,” writes another.

In response to a comment on the secret behind this amazing transformation, Goyal has replied: “consistency is the only secret.”
