NEW DELHI: The government expects to disburse Rs 13,000 crore under the production-linked incentive (PLI) scheme this year, amid a major push to boost local manufacturing. The projection indicates more than a four-fold rise from the Rs 2,900 crore that the government has already disbursed.

“We have already generated through the PLI schemes sales of over Rs 6 lakh crore and employment of around 4 lakh.
