Former Pakistani cricketer Abdul Razzaq recently apologised for his ‘disrespectful’ comments on Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai after he was slammed by many on social media for the same.
Now, amidst that, Amitabh Bachchan has shared a cryptic post, which many feel is in regards to the events that played out with cricketer Razzaq.

He wrote, ‘.. for this has more meaning than any printed word ..इसका अर्थ छपे हुए काग़ज़ पर लिखित शब्दों से कहीं ज़्यादा’.

The controversy with Razzaq began on Tuesday when he said at a press conference, “We don’t really intend to improve and develop the players, in my opinion. It is like if you think you will marry Aishwarya (Rai) and have a good-natured and moral child. It will never happen like that. First, you will have to fix your intentions.”

The remark sparked widespread criticism, with numerous individuals accusing him of showing disrespect towards Aishwarya Rai. Mohammad Yousaf, a former cricketer, also condemned Razzaq for his statement. On Wednesday morning, the Pakistani cricketer issued an apology to Aishwarya. A video of his apology was subsequently shared online.

He said, “Yesterday, we were talking about cricket coaching and intentions. I had a slip of tongue and mistakenly took Aishwarya Rai’s name. I apologise to her personally. I did not intend to hurt anyone’s sentiment.”
