Ben Stokes, Liam Livingstone had lucky escape while taking auto-rickshaw ride in Delhi | Cricket News

NEW DELHI: England all-rounder Ben Stokes disclosed that he along with fellow player Liam Livingstone narrowly avoided an accident while riding in an auto-rickshaw in Delhi.
Stokes posted a video on Instagram, showing the incident in which the auto-rickshaw they were in narrowly avoided colliding with a car, due to its high speed.

England played against Afghanistan in Delhi on October 15 where the defending champions were handed a humiliating 69-run defeat.
England’s title defence is in tatters after they suffered a third successive defeat in the tournament against Sri Lanka on Thursday.
England has just one win – against Bangladesh – from its opening five games at the tournament following heavy losses to New Zealand and South Africa and an upset defeat to Afghanistan.
England’s performance as defending champions in the current World Cup is the worst start since the 1999 World Cup. During that tournament, Sri Lanka faced a similar setback, losing three out of five games and failing to qualify for the super six stage and the eventual knockout rounds.
England’s prospects of reaching the semifinals have been significantly diminished, as they currently occupy the ninth position with just two points, narrowly ahead of the Netherlands based on net run-rate.
