Throwback: When Ranbir Kapoor revealed he drifted apart from his mother Neetu Kapoor after break-up with Deepika Padukone | Hindi Movie News

Ranbir Kapoor has undoubtedly made a mark for himself as an exceptional actor but has also been a constant topic of speculation and intrigue when it comes to his personal life, particularly his romantic relationships. With a legacy that spans generations, Ranbir’s alleged love affairs have frequently made headlines in the Indian entertainment industry.
His relationship and break-up with Deepika Padukonegrabbed headlines for a long time.In one of his past interviews with the Times of India in 2011, Ranbir spilled some beans about his relationship with Deepika. Talking about his break-up, Ranbir said, “Yes, I was in a relationship with an actress who was talked about a lot. You know, I had just started out and working with these glamorous actresses, I was friendly with them. My relationship with that actress didn’t work out, we broke up. But I think we were mature enough to deal with it in the right way. There was no complexity in the situation (Raita Phailana).’

Elaborating on how he started growing apart from his mother, Neetu Singh, he shared, “It’s not that I am an actor and I will lose my stardom if I marry. If I find a girl who I am deeply in love with, I really want to marry because I just feel this deep void inside me that I don’t have anybody to share things with. Not even with my mom.”

He went on to add, “I don’t know what happened and it’s something which I am aware of, I want to do something about it but me and my mother, for some reason, have grown a little bit apart, the connection that we had. She is one person who I love the most and I am sure she feels the same about me. But I have just been too detached. I don’t know why.”
Today, both Ranbir and Deepika have moved on with their respective lives and have also found love. While Deepika found her soulmate in Ranveer Singh, Ranbir is happily married to Alia Bhatt. Ranbir and Alia are even parents to a beautiful daughter whom they have named Raha Kapoor.Ranbir and Alia were recently seen in an advertisment together with Shah Rukh Khan, each one played an extention of the roles they have played on the big screen and has been generating a lot of positive buzz.

On the work front, Ranbir will be seen next in the film ‘Animal‘ that is slated to hit the big screen on December 1, 2023.
