Officials said that the incident took place after crossing Chittorgarh between Gangarar and Soniyana section.

“At around 9:55am after the train had crossed Chittorgarh, the driver noticed that stones, pebbles, clips used for connecting tracks were kept on the track and he stopped the train. There was no damage and after it came to light the track was cleared so that the train could pass. Officials visited the spot and inspected the situation, and an enquiry is being done by RPF,” said an official from NWR.
Cases of attempts of stone pelting on Vande Bharat express have been reported from across the country. In May, the NWR had recorded 13 instances of stone pelting at Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat train due to which the glass panes of the train had been damaged. The Ajmer-Delhi Cantt route was the first Vande Bharat train of Rajasthan inaugurated in April.
