Watch: R Ashwin decodes his magical delivery to Marnus Labuschagne

NEW DELHI: Ravichandran Ashwin’s superb spell was one of the highlights of India’s crushing win over Australia in the second ODI in Indore on Sunday.
The experienced India spinner claimed three crucial wickets as India won the match handsomely by 99 runs (DLS) and sealed the series.
One of Ashiwn’s dismissal that of Marnus Labuschagne became a big talking point as the 37-year-old produced a ripper to knock over the Aussie batter.
The dream carrom ball from Ashwin turned out to be an almost unplayable one as Labuschagne was beaten all ends up.
The Labuschagne dismissal took place in the 13th over of the chase when the Ashwin carrom ball, flicked off the hand, went straight on with the angle. As Labuschagne was looking to play for a normal off-break, he closed the face of his bat and ended up missing the ball on a straight path. As the ball then crashed into the off-stump, Labuschagne could only manage a muted smile.
Ashwin later decoded his terrific delivery saying he was looking to keep a consistent length and away from the batter.

Ashwin finished with figures of 3 for 41 as he along with Ravindra Jadeja shared 6 wickets between them.
The match also saw Shreyas Iyer and Shubman Gill scoring centuries while swashbuckling Suryakumar Yadav fired an unbeaten 37-ball 72 in the death overs.
India now lead the three-match series 2-0. The inconsequential third ODI will be played on Wednesday in Rajkot.
