Mohammed Siraj back to No. 1 in ICC ODI rankings | Cricket News

[ad_1]

NEW DELHI: Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has once again claimed the number one spot in the ICC ODI bowling rankings following his remarkable six-wicket haul during the final match of the recently-concluded Asia Cup.
Siraj had previously held the top position in January, but Josh Hazlewood briefly overtook him in March. After his outstanding performance that saw Sri Lanka being bowled out for a mere 50 runs and India securing a comprehensive 10-wicket victory in the final, Siraj has surged up the rankings by eight positions.

On the other hand, left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav has slipped down three places to ninth in the rankings.
India’s pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah has climbed two places to 27th, while all-rounder Hardik Pandya has made a significant leap of eight spots and now stands at 50th in the rankings.
Among batters, openers Shubman Gill and Rohit Sharma have retained their second and 10th spots respectively while star batter Virat Kohli moved up a rung to eighth.
Pandya is the only all-rounder in the top 20, climbing up a spot to sixth place.
