Pakistani cricketer Shaheen Afridi to marry again after Asia Cup

[ad_1]

Pakistan‘s fast bowler, Shaheen Afridi, recently announced that he is planning to tie the knot for the second time, with his wife Ansha Afridi, after the Asia Cup 2023 is over. The news has captured the attention of his fans globally.
Shaheen Afridi and Ansha got married in an intimate wedding ceremony in February 2023, which was attended by their close family and friends. Although their vows were exchanged discreetly, their love story was no secret, given Shaheen’s rising star status in the world of cricket.

Now, the couple is set to celebrate their love in grand style with a second wedding ceremony scheduled for September 19, 2023, just two days after the Asia Cup concludes.
Reason for the second wedding
Shaheen Afridi and Ansha’s first marriage earlier this year was conducted according to the Afridi tribal customs. Posting the wedding pictures himself, Shaheen Afridi urged his followers not to circulate the images of the ceremony. However, the couple is now ready to share their love for each other with the world by marrying again and also inviting more people to the ceremony this time.

Asia Cup 2023
As of now, Shaheen Afridi is in Sri Lanka for the Asia Cup 2023 matches. The 23-year-old has been a sensation, already claiming seven wickets in just three games. In the India-Pakistan match, he played a pivotal role in restricting India to 266 runs before rain intervened.

India obtained the top position in the points table after winning their first match in the Super 4 stage of the game on September 11, 2023. The reserve day match saw a whopping 228 runs from Rohit Sharma’s team. The match on September 12 will see India and Sri Lanka up against each other at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

While Shaheen’s cricketing skill shines on the field, the weather in Sri Lanka has been a dampener. The rain had disrupted several tournament games, prompting the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) to introduce the reserve day for the crucial IND vs. PAK Asia Cup 2023 match. This decision was made by witnessing the match’s significance in the tournament, as it was the only fixture, aside from the final, with a backup day.

Shaheen Afridi’s impending second marriage and outstanding performance in the Asia Cup 2023 have put him into the public eye beyond the cricket pitch. Cricket enthusiasts eagerly anticipate not only his future sporting endeavours but also the grand celebration of his love story with Ansha as they embark on the second innings of their married life.

Recently, Shaheen was seen with Jasprit Bumrah, who recently became a dad. Shaheen was seen gifting something to the cricketer, who became a dad recently, and was heard saying, “May Allah bless him always, and I wish he will become a new Bumrah one day.”
