NEW DELHI: Whenever India and Pakistan cricket team players battle on the field they engage in an intense rivalry which at times turn into a bitter war but there is another facet to it. Off the field, they share a great camaraderie as there were numerous incidents witnessed in the recent past.
Another example of their great bonding was seen after the India-Pakistan match headed for the reserve day due to rain in Colombo as Pakistan’s star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi gave new dad Jasprit Bumrah a gift for his new born baby.

“Spreading joy. Shaheen Afridi delivers smiles to new dad Jasprit Bumrah,” PCB posted on X, formerly Twitter.
“May Allah bless him always and I wish he will become a new Bumrah one day,” Afridi was heard saying while congratulating Bumrah on his new innings.
Bumrah and his wife Sanjana Ganesan welcomed a baby boy on September 4, with the fast bowler sharing the joyful announcement on social media.
“Our little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and can’t wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it,” he posted.
