Airbus: Airbus plans to hire 2k Indian techies in 2 years

NEW DEHLI: Global aerospace major Airbus is looking to hire 2,000 engineers from India in the next two years, taking the total number of Indian engineers employed with it to 5,000. Remi Maillard, president of Airbus India and MD of South Asia, said the company sees India as a “talent hub” and not just as a market.
Airbus signed an MoU with the Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, in the presence of railways minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, paving the way for rollout of a new engineering course for the aerospace sector. Maillard said that they realise their responsibility to invest in human capital development. tnn
