NEW DELHI: Pakistan’s star allrounder Shadab Khan played a brilliant cameo as the Green Shirts registered a thrilling one wicket win against Afghanistan in the second ODI at the Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium in Hambantota.
Shadab came to the crease when Pakistan suffered a mini-collapse from 170 for 1 to 211 for 6. He slowly took the innings forward.
The drama unfolded when Pakistan needed 11 off 6 balls off Fazalhaq Farooqi.
Farooqi, while bowling his first ball of the last over, noticed Shadab, who was at the in strikers end, leaving the crease. The pacer did not think twice before taking the bails off at the non-striker’s end.
WATCH:

Shadab was shocked and left the field. The allrounder scored a magnificent 48 off 35 balls, including 3 fours and a six.
The number 10 Pakistan batter Naseem Shah didn’t dissapoint as he struck two boundaries to help Pakistan romp home.
With this win, Pakistan took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
