Bumrah sent a thundering bouncer towards a right-handed batter, causing him to swiftly duck beneath the whizzing ball.
Demonstrating his precision, he targeted the toes of a left-handed batter with an impeccable yorker, drawing nods of approval from fellow players at the India nets.In a video shared by BCCI on X, formerly Twitter, Bumrah was seen bowling at full tilt, a comforting sight ahead of the upcoming Asia Cup and the ODI World Cup.
Having last played for India against Australia in a T20I match on September 25, 2022, the 29-year-old had been absent due to a back injury necessitating surgery.
Bumrah’s much-anticipated return to the Indian squad materialised when he was designated as the captain for the away T20I series against Ireland, commencing in Dublin on Friday, after being announced on July 31.
Arriving in Ireland on Tuesday, the Indian team swiftly got into action, hitting the ground running just a day later.
The net session could be viewed as a sum total of Bumrah’s recovery process at the NCA, where he gradually increased the workload and followed a designer fitness regime.

The India squad also includes pacer Prasidh Krishna, who is also making a comeback to the India side after a lengthy injury lay-off, forced by surgery to treat a lumbar stress fracture.
