Pepperfry co-founder and CEO Ambareesh Murty died on Monday in Leh after suffering a cardiac arrest. Murty who was 51, is survived by his wife and son.

The news of his sudden demise was shared by the Mumbai-based company’s other co-founder, Ashish Shah, on social media platform X on Tuesday.
Murty, who has juggled several roles across his corporate career spanning well over a decade, turned into a hands-on entrepreneur when he launched Pepperfry with Shah in 2011. Pepperfry, which runs an online furniture marketplace, has, over the years, also forayed into the offline space with the launch of its experience stores, which today have expanded to over 190 outlets.
