NEW DELHI: Leg spinner Kuldeep Yadav wrote his name in the record books by becoming the fastest Indian bowler to complete 50 wickets in the T20 Internationals.

Playing his 30th T20I match, Kuldeep achieved the milestone during the third match of the five-match series against the West Indies at Providence Stadium in Guyana on Tuesday.
The 28-year-old Kuldeep, who missed the previous game due to a sore thumb, dished out a brilliant performance as he spun a web around Windies batters with the wickets of Brandon King, Nicholas Pooran and Johnson Charles.

He returned impressive figures in a must-win match for India, conceding 28 runs in his four overs for three wickets.
The previous record of fastest 50 wickets in the shortest format of the game was held by Yuzvendra Chahal, who got to the landmark in 34 matches. Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah (41 matches) features third on the list.
Amongst the full member sides, Kuldeep is the third fastest bowler overall to reach the landmark after Sri Lanka’s Ajantha Mendis (26 matches) and Ireland’s Mark Adair (28 matches).
